Have you heard of the 'Veto Vote'?
In a group of diners, they are the decision-maker, usually the person who potentially has the most limited menu options for an enjoyable dining experience and who typically chooses the restaurant for their entire party.
That person is me.
I've checked your menu online before deciding to visit. When I don't find a decent plant-based dish or even a veggie burger option for substitution, I go on to the next restaurant's website.
This happens alot when we're on vacation, roadtrips or traveling in real time. I check the "restaurants near me" on my phone and quickly assess the website menu before putting the address into my GPS navigation.
- How many of your potential customers are doing the same and going elsewhere?
- How much is a lack of plant-based menu options impacting your revenue and profits?
Don't leave your money on the table of another restaurant.
As a customer, I can relate.
As a consultant, I can help.

Summer Vegan Travel Vibes
Traveling is my happy place.
In an airport or on a plane, the rest of the world and its grippy anxiety just falls away and I feel as free as if I’m swimming in a cold, fresh mountain lake in the woods.
Another of my happy places.
My eyes pop open before my alarm. My DNA hums with bliss and excitement, intuitively knowing all the steps, like a choreographed dance on the world’s most exciting stage.
From cozy bed to “0-dark thirty” dog walk; gulp down yesterday’s leftover cold coffee; half-ass…
Supper Clubby Love Vibes
As we are just days away from Valentine’s Day, a holiday I’ve long believed is nothing more than a marketing ploy to break up the monotony of winter, (just me?) my thoughts turn toward food. What else?
Food has always been my love language, with or without the $20 rose bouquet or heart-shaped chocolate box. No offense to rose bouquet or heart-shaped chocolate lovers, but we deserve every day to dabble in the things that bring us joy, whatever those things may be.
Delicious food and wine (inse…
Happy New Year 2026!
Happy 2026 Friend!
As a late bloomer, this new year’s greeting in mid-January feels oddly appropriate.
The hype and hoopla of the holidays has faded and the reality of the new year has burst onto the stage in big and small ways in my life. I hope all is well in yours today.
I started the new year adamant about not setting myself up for failure by promising myself I’d take on a bunch of new habits, break old ones and learn to be a better person. I acknowledge being a work in progress, for li…
